Skellie Fest -Post #2

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my second post for the Lost Coast Designs Skellie Fest and Skull Appreciation Event on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Blog-- check out the blog for all the details.
For today's project, I have stamped a winged skeleton from Carmen's Veranda Stamps and added some stenciled accents.

Materials List:
Stamp: Winged Skeleton from Carmen's Veranda
Ink:Blackberry Bliss Stampin Up; Milled Lavender and Seedless Preserves Distress
CS: Gray, rose, burgundy
Stencil: Mini Damask from Crafter's Workshop

Make It:

  • Make a card base from burgundy CS
  • Add a layer of rose CS
  • On gray CS, stamp the winged skeleton with Blackberry ink-let ink dry

  • Place stencil over stamped gray CS and add lavender ink with Tim Holtz application tool--move the stencil around as necessary to add the swirll elements
  • Remove the stencil
  • Distress edges with Seedless Preserves
  • Add to card base
Note: I  picked a stencil that mimicked the flourish design in the stamp.

Be sure to check out the Portal to Creativity for the event info and link up a project (using skulls or skeletons-any stamp company allowed)  There is a gift certificate for one winner!!  Check out all the DT"s projects too.  Who knew you could do so much with a skull.  LOL

The Landscapers are finally coming next week!!!  The patio is in!!  I will get to start planting on Tuesday!!  Yea!!  I am so happy to get to the fun part!!  Well, have a super day!! Love ya
